BREAKING NEWS:   The Fredericton Amateur Speed Skating Club has been chosen by Speed Skate Canada to host the first ever Fredericton Festival on Ice on February 20th between the hours of 2:45-5:45 PM at the Lady Beaverbrook Arena. Our club as well as a dozen other clubs across Canada have been selected to host these celebrations during the Olympic Games.

Some of the highlights of the event will be:
·        Free skating for the whole family
·        Racing between our FASSCI members and Members of other ice sports including Ringette, Hockey, and Figure Skating 
·        Free Hot Choco , Treats, and Healthy Snacks 
·        Speed Skating Demonstration by our 2010 National Age Class Team
·        An opportunity to watch us go for Gold in Vancouver while celebrating the grassroots of skating amongst friends and Family

Schedule:

February 20th, 2010 - Lady Beaverbrook Arena
2:45-3:15 = Free Skate for all ages (with Music)
2:45 -3:15 PM = Registration for Head to Head Races ( 12 years and older)
3:45-4:30 PM = Registration for Speed Radar (11 and Under)
3:25 PM =Ice Racing Demo w/ 2010 Age Class Nationals Speed Skating Team
3:35 PM = Racing for all Hockey, Speed, Ringette, and Figure skaters
4:45-5:15 PM = Speed Radar races for youngsters under 11
5:15 -5:40 PM = Free Skate for all ages (with Music)
* Helmet required for all on ice activities
